Jessica N. Bentley, JD
Jessica is an independent business attorney serving social entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and visionary creatives. In addition to her law practice, she has an executive coaching practice focused on training leaders in collaborative interpersonal communication. She also serves on the board of the Oregon Vipassana Association, a non-profit organization offering instruction in Vipassana meditation throughout the state.
Before launching her solo businesses, Jessica had a career as a corporate finance attorney. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Languages and Religious Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law. She also completed advanced training with the Integral Center in Boulder, Colorado, receiving certification as a facilitator of its unique interpersonal communication process.
Jessica’s inspiration to serve on the board of ASHA International springs from her own lived experience with mental illness and recovery, and from a desire to serve others who suffer as she has. She is deeply aligned with ASHA’s positive message of hope and compassion, and holds the vision that with the right support and resources, those of us with mental health diagnoses can live joyful, thriving lives, making important contributions to our communities and our world.
