2022 Grit & Grace

DONATE SAFELY AND SECURELY ONLINE. GIVE THE GIFT OF HOPE TODAY!

At ASHA International, we know that the mental health effects of COVID-19 are as important to address as the physical health effects. And, it is equally important to address the inequities in accessing care.

Women are twice as likely to be affected by certain mental health conditions and are often caregivers for loved ones struggling with mental health conditions. In addition, women of color face significant barriers to mental health care including stigma, cultural misperceptions about mental health, and access to affordable, culturally-responsive care.

Each year, the Grit & Grace Conference brings together women from across cultures – peers, caregivers, community stakeholders, providers, government officials, media and more to inspire, educate and empower each other to take charge of their mental health and cultivate resilience and well-being.

  • INSPIRATION: Get inspired by the personal stories of the nation’s leading mental health advocates.
  • EDUCATION: Explore barriers & pathways to mental health and wellbeing.
  • EMPOWERMENT: Learn how to take charge of your mental health and cultivate resilience & wellbeing.

We are so excited to be able to offer the 2022 Grit & Grace Conference at no charge this year.

In past years, this conference has helped fund the "Let's Talk About Mental Health" program in area schools and community organizations. During the pandemic, we are moving our programs online but still need these vital funds to be able to reach students, teachers and community members with inspiring stories and messages of hope.

Please consider making a donation in lieu of payment.

About the Conference Name: People living with mental health conditions are often perceived to be weak or have a character flaw. Neither of these is true. It takes enormous strength and courage to cope with a mental health condition and create a healthy, meaningful, productive life. At ASHA International, we salute the Grit & Grace of people living with mental health conditions, celebrate their resilience, and honor their humanity.

About ASHA International: ASHA International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to normalizing conversations about mental health and inspiring hope & wellbeing, one story at a time.

At ASHA International, we believe our stories are our SUPERPOWER!

By sharing our stories, we can normalize conversations about mental health, give hope to those who are struggling, and help build communities of empathy, support and inclusion where all of us can thrive.

Representation matters! We understand the barriers to mental health faced by underserved and underrepresented communities – immigrants, refugees, black, indigenous, people of color and LGBTQ+. And, are dedicated to empowering people within these communities to share their stories to inspire hope & ignite change.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors for making it possible for us to offer the conference FREE of charge to our community during these difficult times
