Grit & Grace: Multicultural Women’s Mental Health Conference is a 1-day innovative program to inspire, educate and empower women to take charge of their mental health and cultivate resilience and wellbeing.
The conference will be gender-responsive and tailored to address the unique mental health needs of women focusing on a multitude of factors affecting women including adverse childhood experiences, social and cultural factors, race & ethnicity, immigration & acculturation, class, gender, poverty, homelessness, violence, and trauma.
About the Conference Theme: People living with mental health conditions are often perceived to be weak or have a character flaw. Neither of which is true. It takes an enormous amount of strength and courage to cope with a mental health condition and create a healthy, meaningful, productive life. At ASHA International, we salute the Grit & Grace of people living with mental health conditions, celebrate their resilience, and honor their humanity.
The Conference is Intended for: Women impacted by mental health conditions, family members, and healthcare professionals who work in Women's Services and Behavioral Health Services.
